Brockton Reid Hare

Brockton Reid Hare came into this world two days ahead of schedule, preempting a concert Daddy was at, and making it (painfully) interesting for Mommy. He had enough of being squished into Mommy's tummy and he wanted out.

Quick summary for those who do not know:

Tracy's water broke around 9pm on Friday, October 7th. We went to the hospital and they did some tests and confirmed that she was in labor. She was having contractions, around 7 minutes apart. Due to Tracy's late night feast of pizza and ice cream, the doctor decided to delay the emergency c-section until the following morning at 6am. So, we stayed in our hospital room that night. I say stayed because there wasn't a whole lot of sleeping going on. Tracy's contractions were getting worse and worse and she had to be medicated throughout the night. By morning, she was contracting every 3 minutes.

Finally, the excitement came to a climax at 6:41am that Saturday morning. Brockton Reid Hare was born a very slim 10 pounds, 12.5 ounces and measured a good 22 inches long. The most amazing part about it is that he was as healthy as can be. Tracy is on her way to recovery and couldn't be happier. Same goes for Daddy and Emerson.

Cut the cord.

Happy (and relieved) family.

"It's a keeper!"

Not too happy about this cold place yet...

I'll make the best of it though.

Happy brothers.

Getting ready to leave the hospital always makes me cry...

But this car seat sure is comfy.

Home sweet home!
